Introducing Sunrise Solar's Timelapse Video

Introducing Sunrise Solar's Timelapse Video

Our collaboration with SunRise Solar came from a mutual understanding for each other. At SoCo Videography, we aim to bring affordable videography to the small, local businesses and people of Sonoma County. This wasn't just about business; this was about elevating our economy and promoting sustainability. If more businesses are able to afford stunning videography, we can give voices to businesses that they otherwise may not be able to voice. With us, it was with video. With them, it was solar energy.

The timelapse video serves to demystify the solar installation process, all under the gorgeous backdrop of Clear Lake. This video shows a day in the life: a job performed across one afternoon.

SoCo Videography joins the GoLocal Sonoma County Co-op

SoCo Videography has joined the GoLocal Co-op as a GoLocal Business Member, which means we've taken a pledge to operate, buy, and participate local however we can. But to be honest, we've been doing that in our day-to-day lives for years.

Our GoLocal business membership only strengthens who we already are, giving us the opportunity to forge new friendships with businesses and fun-loving Sonomads alike, looking out for a better, more prosperous Sonoma County.

If I were 17 again: SoCo Videography Re-Visits El Molino High School

Last month, we had the pleasure of attending a speaker's panel at El Molino High School, where we had the opportunity to share insight and inspiration as Sonoma County's videographers. Inspired by the panel (and by LinkedIn's 2014 blog series "If I were 22") we decided to each share what wisdom we might give our 17-year-old selves:

Introducing Taylor Maid Farms' New Brand Video

When we had the opportunity to work with Taylor Maid Farms on a brand video, we felt more than up to the challenge. This coffee roaster and bar has values similar to our own, which sparked an instant understanding that translates into the finished video.

The brand video encapsulates the union between factory and coffee bar, emphasizing the roaster as the beating heart that ties the two sides together.

SoCo Videography's 2016 Resolutions

SoCo Videography's 2016 Resolutions

2015 was a huge year for us: one of our fiction films showed at thirteen festivals across the country; we taught a 6-week filmmaking course at Chop's Teen Club, and we've made videos for the lovely businesses and recently-married couples in Sonoma County.

As 2016 approaches, we have been developing our hopes for the new year. So we're sharing these hopes with you -- our friends (and hopefully future friends too).

How Sonoma County inspired a generation of videographers

How Sonoma County inspired a generation of videographers

When you're a Sonoma County local, you tend to overlook a lot of what others find charming. All three of us at SoCo Videography grew up in west county, so naturally we stopped noticing the hot air balloons drifting above river road. We took for granted our farm-fresh school apples.

As the local story goes, we didn't fall in love with Sonoma County until we shuttled to our individual colleges.
